ABSTRACT

Objective@#To describe the prevalence and relationship between moderate to vigorous physical activity(MVPA), screen time (ST) and depressive symptoms among middle school students in Guangzhou, and to provide a reference for adolescent depression prevention and control.@*Methods@#Using stratified cluster random sampling method, a total of 2 140 students were selected from one urban area and one suburban country for MVPA, ST and depressive symptoms investigation. Logistic regression was used to analyze relations among MVPA, ST and their combined patterns for depressive symptoms.@*Results@#A total of 89.72% students failed to meet the MVPA recommendations, girls (95.52%) were higher than boys(84.38%). Totally 67.38% of the students failed to meet the ST recommendations, boys (69.75%) were higher than girls(64.81%). The prevalence of depressive symptoms was 27.01%, girls (31.58%) higher than boys(22.80%). MVPA, ST failure compliance rate and depression symptoms detection rate of vocational high school and ordinary high school were higher than junior high school ( χ 2=6.40,121.71,27.37, P < 0.05 ). Logistic regression analysis showed that the OR for depressive symptoms was 1.19 ( P =0.35) in students whose MVPA time achieving 1 h<7 d in the last week, and was 1.93 ( P <0.01) in students with the ST>2 h/d independently, no significant interactions were observed. Students with both MVPA time 1 h<7 d in the last week and the ST>2 h/d were more likely to report depressive symptoms( OR=2.03, P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#Insufficient MVPA, prolonged ST and high prevalence of depressive symptoms are observed among middle school students in Guangzhou. Students with both insufficient MVPA and prolonged ST are more likely to suffer from depressive symptoms. Specific psychological care and health education regarding physical activity and screen behavior should be implemented to students with different characteristics, as well as their parents for depressive symptom prevention.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the relationship between preoperative serum sodium concentration and preoperative status of liver transplantation recipients and it's effect on early prognosis. Methods Retrospectively collected the clinical data of 281 patients underwent liver transplantation in First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2016 to September 2017. According to the preoperative serum sodium concentration, they were divided into hyponatremia group (< 130 mmol/L) 18 patients, normonatremia group (130-145 mmol/L)232 patients and hypernatremia group(> 145 mmol/L) 31 patients. The SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used to analyze the difference of preoperative MELD score, Child-Pugh score, postoperative survival rate and the incidence of graft dysfunction among three groups. Multivariate comparisons of measurement data were performed using analysis of variance. Pairwise comparisons between groups were performed using the LSD-t test. Chi-square tests were used to compare the count data sets. Results The preoperative MELD score was(19.27 ±7.35) scores, Child-Pugh score was(10.39±2.28) scores, serum creatinine concentration was(95.89 ± 49.40) μmol/L in hyponatremia group, the preoperative MELD score was(12.17土8.79) scores(P=0.001), Child-Pugh score was(8.50±2.68) scores (P =0.004) and serum creatinine was(66.07 ±24.13) μmol/L(P <0.05) in normonatremia group, the difference between two groups were statistically significant. There were no significant difference in the length of postoperative ICU stay and postoperative hospital stay among the three groups, there were no significant difference between the 30th and 90th postoperative survival rates and the incidence of graft dysfunction. Conclusions Hyponatremia is an indicator of poor preoperative status in liver transplantation recipients. Preoperative serum sodium concentration has no significant effect on early prognosis of liver transplantation.

ABSTRACT

Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have a strong self-renewal ability and multi-directional differentiation potential, so they are ideal cells for cell transplantation, and are widely used in the treatment of diabetes, osteoarthritis and other diseases. BMSCs could increase insulin and C peptide levels in patients by a variety of mechanisms, and a good blood glucose control could be achieved without exogenous insulin therapy. Recently, a number of clinical studies confirmed the safety and effectiveness of BMSCs transplantation in the treatment of diabetes. BMSCs transplantation has also achieved good results for treating complications of diabetes, such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic peripheral vascular disease, diabetic cardiomyopathy, diabetic bone disease and others. However, due to the lack of standardized transplantation regimens, BMSCs transplantation has been limited in the clinical application. This review summarized the status and research progress of BMSCs transplantation in the treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications.
